If I only knew,,,,,,,,

that knee surgery would be soooo rough,,,,I would have taken better care of them.  Today is day ten,,,,and not so good of a day,,,,was up most of the night,,,,,,,,in so much pain,,,,I'm determined to get off the pain meds,,,,,,,,and didn't have any for two day,,,,but PT with home health was pretty grueling yesterday,,,,and I should have taken some meds,,,,but didn't ,,,so I paid for it by getting no sleep.  Therapaists say I am doing well,,,,,,,,,I know I am getting around well,,,,but still can't bend it all the way and I have terrible bruising all around it.  I will have to say that the knee itelf is looking good,,,and,,,,no pain,,,,it has about 20 staples still in it,,,,but I suffered so much pain before surgery,,,it's good not to have any now.  But the pain is where the muscles were tampered with and where the tourequet was.  They say I will have full use before long.  We'll see. 

Today is my 62nd birthday,,,,Happy Birthday to me,,,,never thought I would live to see 62,,,,,,,I thank God for each one that he gives me.  I feel very old today,,,,wonder if it can be because of no sleep issue last night

Well,,,todays the 5th,,,,and tomorrow is surgery on the ol knee,,,I sure do dread it.   So much can go wrong,,,,,,,,,,,but sure hope it feels better,,,,I have really been in a lot of pain lately,,,,,,but I have a high tolerance to pain anyway,,,,,,,,,all this pain and no medicine,,,,so that's a good thing.  I have laundry done up,,,,house is all cleaned,,,,refridgerater cleaned out, garbage out,,,,almost all packed,,,have to take enough pajamas for hospital and Sky,,,,,,,bills all paid,,,,,,dogs food is out for the week,,,,looks like I have thought of everything,,,,,,,now,,,to get a prayer though for God's watch care,,,,,,,odd how we always leave him to the last?  But we know he already understands and knows our needs before we do.  Talk to you after surgery,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Well,,,,a  few people mentioned in their Christmas cards to update my blog,,,,didn't know anyone even read it anymore,,,,,,I noticed that I failed to post the last two updates,,,I think they were wrote back in August,,,,so I am really far behind.  To catch up,,,,,I did go off the azathroprine drug,,,,,,,and I did get over the infection in my neck,,,,and so far,,,,the biliriubin of the liver is still good.....I think even the Dr is surprised!!!  And to date I am still off the drug,,,,and it is now Dec....great call!!!  But then on the other hand,,,,the old knee has acted up again,,,,,,,,,really looks dislocated......Dr Fee said I still need the surgery,,,spent Christmas on a walker,,,what fun that was,,,it took all of us to get breakfast on the table for Christmas Eve.  Today it is somewhat better,,,,,,just hobbling around the house now,,,,,,,the nurse just called and my surgery is supposed to be January 6th,,,,,it will be good to finally get the knee fixed but worried about the platelets being so low,,,,they said they would give me platelets while on the table and "as needed" afterwards..Dr Seshradri, the cancer Dr, said if given now,,,the spleen would just eat them up before surgery,,,,,,,interesting,,,,,,,,,,also Dr Rebecca Shadowen said,,,,,she would load me up with antibiotics before and after surgery,,,,,,sounds like they have all bases covered.  Now to get the tree down and the house cleaned up,,,,cause I'm sure it will be a while before it gets touched again,,,,,,,,see you in a few,,,,,

Called the Dr and told her about the itching,,,and asked if maybe I should get off the azathyroprine medication,,,(for the liver),,,since it can suppress my immune system,,,,since I have been on it for about 3 years now,,,,she said she couldn't make this call,,,,,,that I would have to discuss this with that Dr.   hmmmmmm I called him and he said he couldn't guarantee what effect it would have on my liver,,,,,now listen,,,,,,,,,,,think about it,,,,,,,,My immune system is compromised and if I am taking a drug that suppresses that system,,,,should you not go off of it long enough to see just what effect it might have over the system???????   Think about it now,,,,,,,I told him I wanted to go off of it for 6 weeks,,,,,,then do blood work and see is the immune system is better and also check the bilirubin on the liver to see if it is stable,,,,doesn't that make sense????  Don't know ,,,he was reluctant but granted my wishes,,,,maybe I am messing up here,,,,maybe I won't have to take the chemo,,,,at least not for now,,,,,,and then maybe I am totally messing things up,,,,,,,,,what is the answer,,,,,,,,,,hmmmmmmmmm  gonna pray about this one????

but, I've tried that before,,,,,,,lots of times ,,,,and it never works.  Drs appt was today,,,,bad news,,,,,,,,,,,,BUT,,,,,,,,,it could be worse......I guess,,,,She did blood work 2 weeks ago and sent some of it off,,,,while the WBC looks adequate,,7.2 (normal low is 4.8),,,when you break it down,,,it doesn't look all that good,,,,the immunoglobulin  is not  good,,,,,,that shows just how many antibodies that I have to fight infection,,,,,dangerously low...........the neutrophils are a 1.1,,,(normal low is 2.2),,,dangerously low,,,,,that explains why I still have this infection in my neck.  She said if it gets below 1 that she will put me in the hospital and give me IV antibiotics.  She also said that normally she would prescribe IvIg treatments but,,,,I previously had some 3 years ago and I didn't fair well with them,,,one series gave me hepatitis and the other gave me meningitis,,,,so we can't go that route,,,,she also said she could give me some chemo,,,,RIUTUXIN,,,,,(I have read  up on this drug,,,,,,,,lots of dangerous side effects),,,,,,hmmmmmmm,,,not sure about this.  She said I could whind up with a bad infection anyway,,,,,(possibly fatal),,,,,hmmmmmm,,,,,Platelets are 53,,,,,,(normal low is130),,,, lymph %  is 80.4,,,,,(normal high is 20.5),,,,,,,,one good thing???????   I am not anemic,,,,,,,she said there doesn't seem to be anything she can do for me at this point,,,,She also asked if I would like to get a second opinion?   hmmmmmmm  Since I have had this infection in my neck since March, and haven't shed it yet,,,I asked what would happen if I got the flu and she said,,,,it could really be bad,,,,,,,,hmmmmmmm again,,,,,,,,,,She said I have several tumors,,,,but nothing significant at this time,,,,,,Well ain't life grand,,,,,thinking possibly of just letting things take it's course,,,,,,,,getting a little tired of fighting this infection,,,,,,,,,and feeling bad all the time,,,,,,,,,but then I think of my grandchildren,,,,,,,,,how much I love them,,,,,,,,,Hannah has started kindergarten and I won't be seeing her as much,,,she gave me a reason to get out of bed,,,many a day,,,,,,,,and then little Jacob,,,,turning 9 in a few days,,,,soon to be lost,,,,,,and will need to be saved,,,,(would love to be present to see this),,,,and then precious Matthew,,,,,,,our precious one,,,,,,,his smile alone,,,makes my day,,,,,,,and then there is Tiffany and Jonathan,,,,would love to see what they will "bring" to the grandchildren department.......right now they have adorable "Jax",,,a Yorkshire terrier,,,sometimes I get to puppy sit,,(ha ha)....Love my children to the max,,,,,,,but something about being a grandparent,,,,,,,,,there is nothing like it,,,,,,,,,these are my "grand" olde days!!!!!  ♥

I have had a problem with warts on my arms,,,,100's of them,,,,,Dr Jones said my immune system won't acknowledge them,,,and we have to treat them,,,,,so afraid they will get on my face,,,,,,,,,,and we all know witches have warts on their face,,,,,,ugh,,,,,,,,,,,,

Forgot to tell her I was itching,,,,will call her tomorrow and tell her.

not sure what is going on,,,,,,,,,My skin is so itchy,,,,,and there is no rash,,,,and I am off the antibiotic,,,,,ugh,,,,,,I see the Dr on the 4th,,,,can't wait to find out what is going on,,,,,,,,I don't pay alot of attention to it when I am up and busy,,,,it's when I sit down to rest ,,,that is when I really notice it  and especially while trying to fall asleep,,,,,,,not good,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

of what to say,,,,,,,,,I don't think the Drs know either,,,,,,,,could be infection,,,could be,,?????  So we are repeating the scans in 2 months,,,I do blood work the last of this month and see Dr Seshadri the first of august,,,,so it's a waiting game,,,,,,,(story of my life)  I will say,,,,,, I am feeling better.....Spent alot of time in bed the last month,,,,,,been on antibiotics for the last 2 months......whew,,,,but still have swollen lymphs around my yaw and neck and back of neck,,,,a neck ache instead of head ache.  Don't know where all the infection started un less I have developed some allergies in my old age,,,,,I hate to think what would happen if I had a serious infection.......................................................................................................................??
